Colorella Terms of Use
Effective 4 September 2026 · Colorella for iOS and Android (bundle com.huevue.app, previously announced as Huevue)
Provider
Colorella is provided by Dumke Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Ebersprung 2, 16321 Bernau, Germany. Contact: tom@colorella.app. Full details are in the Impressum.
1. What Colorella is
Colorella measures your personal colouring from calibrated photos and checks garment and product colours against your palette. It is a styling aid, not a professional service: colour analysis has no scientific reference standard, and two human consultants will routinely give the same person two different results. Colorella's claim is repeatability, meaning the same inputs always produce the same answer, not accuracy against a standard that does not exist. Purchase decisions you make remain your own.
2. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account (on iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). We add no cancellation steps of our own and there is nobody you need to email to get out. Refunds are handled by the store under its rules. Because Apple and Google are the seller for these purchases, your 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases in the EU is exercised through them, on the same screen where you manage the subscription. We will help you if it goes wrong: tom@colorella.app. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
3. The free tier
Your season name and the in-app shopping browser with colour checks are free. We may change what is included in the free and paid tiers for the future, where the change is reasonable for you, for example to add features, to replace a retired one, or where a supplier we depend on changes. We will not reduce what you have already paid for during the period you paid for, and if a change materially reduces a paid tier we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel for the following period.
4. Shopping links
The in-app browser opens third-party retailers. We are not a party to any purchase you make from them, we do not host their catalogues, and their sites are governed by their own terms. Some links pay us a commission, which is disclosed in the app and never influences a colour verdict.
5. Acceptable use
Measure yourself, your family, and consenting friends. Do not use Colorella to analyse people without their knowledge or consent, and do not extract, resell or scrape the app's data or engine. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded, such as those under EU software law, remain unaffected.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its engine, its colour catalogue and its content belong to us or our licensors. Your measurement and your palette are yours: you can export them at any time and use them however you like.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, for damage arising from a guarantee we have expressly given, and for fraudulent concealment of a defect. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely), and in that case limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded.
8. Termination and changes
You can stop using Colorella and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will show it in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect and say what changed. If you do not agree, tell us or simply cancel before the date, and the old terms govern your current paid period. We will never treat your silence as agreement to a change that reduces what you get.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually live remain unaffected. We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
